B-Better is the first step in achieving a common goal: a better future, both for ourselves and the planet. It’s a call for cleaner streets, streams, parks and ponds.
As hydration is essential in a healthy lifestyle, we began our less waste journey by reshaping our drinking habits. B-Better Water isn’t bottled, it’s boxed. The cartons are over 90% plant-based and produced with the environment in mind – which isn’t a perfect solution to the waste situation yet, but it’s a start.
A portion of the profit of every box sold is donated to local initiatives to reduce waste in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Be good to yourself.
Being properly hydrated is important for your health. Did you know your body is made up of 60% water? It needs fluids to transport waste products and proteins, build muscle, regulate your temperature … and even produce hormones. That’s how drinking enough water can improve your mood, energy level and physical performance.
To help you stay on top of your game, B-Better Water is stored in 750 ml boxes instead of the standard 50 cl size. The pure water is available as such or with added natural flavours like lime, blueberry, açaí and elderflower to help you increase your liquid intake during the day.
Each functional variant holds vitamin B and their own super ingredient like Vitamin C in Immunity. Refill your box whenever you get the chance to and store the empty container in your bag to recycle at home when there’s no proper recycling bin in sight. Which brings us to our next point …
WHY THIS BOX IS BETTER.
BETTER PAPER.
57% of the box is made from sustainable wood from responsibly managed forests and controlled plantations. The FSC label – short for ‘Forest Stewardship Council’ – guarantees that the timber used comes from sources that are managed in ways that are environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable. Trees that are harvested are replanted or allowed to regenerate naturally to keep the environment intact.
BETTER PLASTIC.
Each box contains only 1.3 g conventional plastic. The plastics in the pack and cap are made mostly from crude tall oil, a residue of the paper industry originating from conifer trees. The pulp residue is recovered to create a plastic that is kinder on the planet.
BETTER ALUMINIUM.
We’ve kept the aluminium on the interior of the box to a bare minimum to reduce the impact of the packaging while preserving the quality of its contents. A thin layer of sustainably sourced aluminium protects the pure, flavoured and functional waters from light, oxygen, moisture and bacteria. The aluminium can be recovered in special recycling facilities to be reused in new products.
The result: a box that’s over 90% plant-derived, translating to a considerable CO2 reduction compared to your average plastic water bottle. And we don’t plan on stopping there. We’re aiming for better with every sip.

DO BETTER FOR THE PLANET.
It’s no secret that plastic dominates our lives. We are ever more confronted by plastic packaging in supermarkets, in kitchen cabinets, on bathroom shelves, in our wildflower patches and even between our home-grown strawberry and tomato plants. Shopping bags and plastic bottles are left lying around in the streets to be carried into drainage networks and rivers by the rain and the wind.
No more, we thought. And so, we decided to partner up with 1% for the Planet, a global initiative of businesses and individuals who want to contribute to a healthier environment. That's how part of the profit of every B-Better box is donated to local initiatives to reduce waste in Belgium and the Netherlands.
To tackle the problem at its source and reduce plastic packaging altogether, we felt it was time to reshape the traditional plastic water bottle. Because even though tap water is without a doubt the best option to avoid waste, it isn’t always available.
Therefore, we took the convenience of a plastic bottle, combined it with the sustainability of tap water and designed a new water bottle. An ecologically sensible water bottle with a different shape and size. The container of B-Better Water is largely made of paper – a renewable, recyclable and biodegradable resource – which in its turn is made from trees that grow in responsibly managed (aka FSC®) forests. Cleaning the air as they do, they can each absorb up to 21 kg of carbon emissions a year.
PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION.
We aren’t perfect. Although our boxes are better than single-use bottles, B-Better Water still is packaged. Therefore, if you have the choice to drink water from a bottle, box or tap, always choose the tap. Whenever you crave for something more flavourful or nutritious, B-Better Water is the way to go.

We’re starting our journey together with a range of natural, flavoured and functional waters, packaged in a box instead of the classic, plastic water bottle. You can easily refill the box from the tap; we’re even working on a range of reusables to give you that extra nudge you may need. The flavoured waters are 100% natural and well-balanced to make drinking water more enjoyable. The functional waters contain additional minerals and vitamins to address potential deficiencies and contribute to your overall health.
The B-Better eco-system has been co-created with consumers and retailers, embracing that flexible, resourceful and open-minded mindset we so very much value in our community. Our brand has been developed as a lean start-up in Belgium.
2. Why has B-Better been developed?
We live in a world where everyone tries to live up to unrealistic standards of perfection, which puts a lot of pressure on us, if anything. As the global waste crisis is impossible to solve with a snap of the finger, we traced the problem back to its source (the use of single-use plastics and littering habits) and provided a first step to both a cleaner planet and a better you.
The world doesn’t need a handful of perfect people, it needs a whole lot of not-so-perfect people daring to be better. That’s how we can make a difference in the world. Together.

Tap water is a great, sustainable choice but it isn’t always readily available. Plus, sometimes you just fancy a little extra indulgence. That’s why we’ve challenged ourselves to give you the best alternative possible. Because we believe that everyone should have access to the hydration that suits them best at any given moment. Our water in a plant-based packaging supports a sustainable way of living. Knowledge and nature go hand in hand. We’re not perfect, but we go for better.

B-Better Water is a range of natural mineral water, functional waters and flavoured waters packaged in a box instead of the conventional plastic bottle. The water has been carefully sourced and adapted to your every craving and need and the packaging has been developed with the planet in mind.
5. Is B-Better Water the best option?
If you get to choose between water from the tap, a water box or a bottle, always choose the tap first. With near to no environmental impact from transportation and no packaging waste, tap water is without a doubt the best option for hydration. Go with B-Better water if you don’t have access to safe tap water, if you crave something fruity or flavoured and if you need an extra mineral or vitamin boost. 7. What are the different flavours and functions?
There’s 3 different types of B-Better Water: 1 natural mineral water (‘All Natural’), 5 flavoured waters (‘Funky Flavours’) and 4 functional waters (‘Fruity Functionals’).
The Funky Flavours range is naturally flavoured and contains no added sugars.
B-Better Water Apple Lemongrass B-Better Water Blueberry Acai B-Better Water Lemon Juniper B-Better Water Lime Elderflower B-Better Water Plum Elderflower.
The Fruity Functional range is enriched with minerals and vitamins.
B-Better Water Beauty (flavoured with peach and aloe vera): water-based drink with added vitamin B and zinc for healthy skin, nails and hair. Zinc about it. B-Better Water Charcoal (flavoured with lime, ginger and mint): water-based drink with added vitamin B and charcoal. When life gives you charcoal water, then yeh … you trust your gut. 9. What are the health benefits of B-Better Water?
Our first goal is to keep you hydrated. The universal standard for drinking water is 2 L, which isn’t always easy to attain. B-Better Water was developed originally to help you reach your daily vitamin, mineral and fluid intake, by providing 75 cl water boxes and giving a refreshing twist on regular water.
After drinking one of our functional B-Better waters (Charcoal, Beauty, Energy or Immunity) you will have reached 75% of your daily vitamin B intake. The Biotin (B8) contributes to your metabolism, the pantothenic acid (B5) contributes to your normal mental performance, the vitamin B12 contributes to the normal function of your immune system and the vitamin B6 contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Beside B vitamins, B-Better Water Energy also contains guarana and ginseng, B-Better Water Immunity has added vitamins E and C, B-Better Water Beauty is enriched with zinc and B-Better Water Charcoal contains charcoal.
10. How much water does a box of B-Better Water contain?
Every B-Better box contains 75 cl water or water-based drink. As we believe in the importance of hydration, we’ve given the regular 50 cl water bottle an upgrade to help you reach your daily 2 L water goal.
11. What other ingredients does B-Better Water contain beside water?
The Natural Mineral B-Better box contains pure water sourced from the Helenen spring (Rinteln). The Funky Flavours contain water sweetened with fruit and natural aromas.
B-Better Water Apple Lemongrass: water, natural apple-lemon grass flavouring, lemon juice and 1.5% fruit . B-Better Water Blueberry Acai: water, lemon juice concentrate, açaí extract, natural flavouring, blueberry juice concentrate and 1.5% fruit. B-Better Water Lemon Juniper: water, natural juniper-lemon flavouring, lemon juice concentrate and 1.4% fruit. B-Better Water Lime Elderflower: water, lemon juice concentrate, natural lime-elderflower flavouring and 1.4% fruit. B-Better Water Plum Elderflower: water, natural plum-elderberry flavouring, lemon juice concentrate and 1.4% fruit.
The Fruity Functionals are naturally flavoured and enriched with vitamins and minerals as well.
B-Better Water Charcoal: water, lemon juice concentrate, ginger extract, natural lime-mint flavouring, antioxidant ascorbic acid, invert sugar, green tea extract, a vitamin mixture of pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, biotin and vitamin B12, and 1.4% fruit. B-Better Water Energy: water, lemon juice concentrate, green coffee extract, carrot extract, caffeine, invert sugar, natural flavouring, ginseng extract, guarana extract, cranberry juice concentrate, pomegranate juice concentrate, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, biotin, vitamin D and vitamin B12, and 1.4% fruit. Due to the high levels of caffeine (15 mg/100 ml), B-Better Water Energy is not recommended for children or pregnant or breast-feeding women. Drink with moderation. B-Better Water Beauty: water, lemon juice concentrate, natural flavouring, aloe vera extract, zinc gluconate, invert sugar, a vitamin mixture of pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, biotin and vitamin B12, peach juice concentrate, paprika extract and 1.4% fruit.
