п»їCollege Football Playoff picks after Week 2.
Tim Tebow breaks down why he feels Trevor Lawrence and Clemson will have to be competing for a championship to define this season as a success. (1:26)
Week 2 welcomed the ACC and Big 12 into the college football fold in 2020, and all of the heavy hitters from those conferences lived up to the hype.
Most Popular Playoff Picks.
Team (Record) Votes Alabama (0-0) 12/12 Clemson (1-0) 12/12 Oklahoma (1-0) 11/12 Florida (0-0) 6/12 Georgia (0-0) 5/12 Army (2-0) 1/12 Texas (1-0) 1/12.
Trevor Lawrence and Clemson traveled Saturday to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and ran over Wake Forest 37-13, while Oklahoma needed its starting quarterback for only the first half in a 48-0 rout of Missouri State in Norman. New Sooners quarterback Spencer Rattler went 14-for-17 in the first half for 290 yards and four touchdowns. Not a bad start for Lincoln Riley's new signal-caller.
Texas also impressed on Saturday with a big win over UTEP in Austin. Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger threw for five touchdowns in the opener, and his experience will be key to the Longhorns' College Football Playoff hopes this season.
With the SEC off until Sept. 26 the lists remain largely unchanged, but there are some surprises this week, including Army making its first appearance this season.
Here's how our writers see the College Football Playoff field at the end of Week 2.

Salah scores brace to take Liverpool to third.
Jurgen Klopp shares his thoughts about Roberto Firmino entering Liverpool's top 20 goalscorers of all time. (0:43)
Mohamed Salah broke his six-game Premier League scoreless streak on Sunday as Liverpool beat West Ham 3-1 at the London Stadium.
Salah scored the first two to put Liverpool in control. Georginio Wijnaldum added a third on 84 minutes before Craig Dawson grabbed a consolation goal for West Ham two minutes later.
Salah's second strike marked his 90th Premier League goal and put him in pole position in the race for the 2020-21 Golden Boot.
"It's a good win for us -- they are a tough team," Salah said after the game.
"We need to win every game now. I knew there was a big responsibility on me and I just try -- every game, not just now -- to help the team.
"City were struggling in the beginning, then we were struggling three or four games ago. Now we need to keep winning if we want to win the league. It's been a really big week."
Editor's Picks.
Klopp: Sideline spat with Milner over injury concerns.
Classic counter-attacks! Salah goal joins Rooney among Premier League's best.
The first half was far from inspiring with both teams managing just one shot on target apiece.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp replaced James Milner with Curtis Jones on 56 minutes and the 20-year-old used his first touch of the ball to set up Salah for the opening goal.
Salah danced around around the West Ham defence inside the box before curling a left-footed shot around the players and into the top right corner.
Just over 10 minutes later Liverpool broke through Trent Alexander-Arnold and Xherdan Shaqiri after a West Ham corner. With Liverpool outnumbering the defence, Salah deftly controlled the ball before hitting it past Lukasz Fabianski.
The whole team collaborated for Wijnaldum's goal in the 84th minute with substitute Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain teaming up with Roberto Firmino before the final finish.
Dawson pulled one goal back for West Ham following a corner on 86 minutes.
The result means Liverpool jump above Leicester City -- who lost 3-1 to Leeds United earlier in the day -- to third place while West Ham are in fifth.

ACC returns to 8-conference-game football schedule with Notre Dame Fighting Irish independent again.
Tom VanHaaren breaks down the recruiting violations at Notre Dame. (1:54)
The ACC plans to return to its normal eight-conference-game, divisional format -- with Notre Dame as an independent -- when the 2021 football season kicks off in September, the league announced Thursday.
In its release, the league noted that a return to play and the schedule as released are contingent on COVID-19 guidelines. Last season, the ACC made changes to its schedule to play during the coronavirus pandemic, including Notre Dame as a full-time conference member and playing 10 league games.
With an expected return to a more normal season, Notre Dame is returning to its five-game scheduling partnership and the league decided to play the 2021 season as originally scheduled. As a result, there are several repeat site games from 2019 and 2020.
Clemson, again expected to be the overwhelming favorite to win the ACC, opens the season against Georgia on Sept. 4 in Charlotte, North Carolina, in a highly anticipated marquee nonconference game with College Football Playoff implications.
Though the ACC did play one nonconference game in 2020, the SEC did not, and the various SEC vs. ACC matchups throughout the schedule will most certainly be welcomed. In addition to the four traditional ACC vs. SEC rivalry games to close the regular season, the schedule also features Miami against Alabama in Atlanta on Sept. 4 and Louisville against Ole Miss in Atlanta on Labor Day night, Sept. 6. Pitt plays at Tennessee in Week 2.

SEC schedule opens with 3 Power 5 matchups.
The 10 tiers of college football in 2021: Favorites, disappointments and potential surprise teams.
The Tigers open the ACC schedule against Georgia Tech on Sept. 18 and have a Friday night game at Syracuse on Oct. 15. Their game against Florida State -- which was canceled in 2020 hours before kickoff -- is scheduled for Oct. 30 in Clemson.
Notre Dame opens the season at Florida State on Sunday, Sept. 5. The Irish will also play Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Virginia and Virginia Tech in 2021. The game against the Tar Heels could provide another showdown between teams with College Football Playoff hopes.
The season opens with five days of ACC football, starting with a Thursday night matchup between NC State and USF. The biggest conference game of opening weekend is North Carolina at Virginia Tech, two teams expected to compete for the Coastal Division title, to be played Sept. 2 or Sept. 3.
North Carolina and Wake Forest will once again play a nonconference game on Nov. 6, in an arrangement that was made several years ago in order for the two teams to play each other more often.
The Atlantic and Coastal Division winners will play in the ACC championship game in Charlotte on Dec. 4.
