poker and sports betting - FabioIneks - 02-08-2021 п»їGO TIME: Online Casinos, Sports Betting Live in Michigan Jan. 22; Poker Not Yet Launching. While Michigan won’t be launching online poker right away, sports betting and real money online casinos are set to launch Friday . On Tuesday, the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) authorized nine operators to go live on Jan. 22 at noon. “The Michigan Gaming Control Board and the state’s commercial and tribal casinos will begin a new era Jan. 22 with the launch of regulated online gaming and sports betting,” MGCB executive director Richard S. Kalm said in a news release. “Michigan residents love sports and, judging by inquiries we’ve received, eagerly anticipate using mobile devices to place bets through the commercial and tribal casinos. Online gaming and sports betting will provide the casinos with new ways to engage with customers while the state and local communities will benefit from taxes and payments on wagering revenue.” No poker yet, but online gaming may pave the way. Michigan officially legalized online poker, online casinos and sports betting in 2019. So far, PokerStars and Roar Digital/MGM (which runs partypoker US Network ) have been approved in the state. The good news for poker players is that online casinos in Michigan will at least launch this week. Also, Kalm noted recently that he didn’t expect online poker sites in Michigan to see a significant delay. Many Pennsylvania online poker players were left frustrated after a lengthy delay between iGaming launch and online poker. The Michigan online operators authorized to begin online gaming on Jan. 22 include: Tribe/casino Associated platform provider Gaming types offered on Jan. 22 MGM Grand Detroit BetMGM/Roar Digital Casino games; sports betting Bay Mills Indian Community DraftKings Casino games; sports betting Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians William Hill Casino games; sports betting Greektown Casino Penn Sports Interactive/Barstool Sportsbook Sports betting Hannahville Indian Community TwinSpires Casino games; sports betting Keweenaw Bay Indian Community Golden Nugget Online Gaming Casino games; sports betting Little River Band of Ottawa Indians Rush Street Casino games; sports betting MotorCity Casino FanDuel Casino games; sports betting Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians Wynn Casino games; sports betting. Closing in on launch date. MGCB officials noted the days between authorization and launch give operators additional time for testing and adjustments before going live. The MGCB expects to authorize additional operators and platform providers in the coming days and weeks. Agency staff members continue reviewing other submissions to ensure they meet state regulatory requirements . “We want the public to have confidence when they place wagers,” Kalm said, “and our agency has required the providers to prove they meet Michigan’s standards, which are designed to protect the participants.” An MGCB spokesperson told USPoker that the board “has approved online poker games at the request of various platform providers. Operators and platform providers will decide which games they will present at launch.” Despite that, there has been no timeline for a partypoker launch in the state. The MGCB also provisionally approved PokerStars as well. However, the operator is not among those with the initial go-ahead. Poker fans may be in waiting mode, but a launch at least appears in sight – just not on Jan. 22. Poker Players Demonstrate Sports Betting Prowess in Winning High Six Figure Score. For most in the world of poker, sports betting is one of the biggest leaks to plug. It is often said that the late poker legend Stu Ungar’s sports betting absorbed much of what he won on the poker tables because he just wasn’t good at the activity. But, for David вЂODB’ Baker and Mark Gregorich, their sports betting prowess might have outweighed their poker playing abilities – at least for one season. Two Major Competitions, Two Major Scores. In Las Vegas, two of the major casinos host a season-long competition that pits sports bettors against each other testing their handicapping skills. The players pony up an entry fee and, for each week of the NFL season, picked five games against the spread. For each correct pick, the team earned a point; for each push, the team would earn a half point. Baker and Gregorich were entered into these two contests, the Las Vegas SuperContest at Westgate Las Vegas (for a $1500 buy in) and the Circa Sports Million II (for a $1000 buy in). Each of these competitions had well over 1000 competitors, with the Westgate competition having a field of 1172 entries and the Circa event featuring a whopping 3,148 entry field. In the end, the Baker/Gregorich combination was among the leaders, if not outright leading the events, for most of the season. In the end, Baker and Gregorich were able to secure the season championship in the Westgate series to win $435,623 in prize money. In the Circa competition, they came up just short in second place, but they were still able to score a $200,000 consolation prize. Along with being the leader at certain milestones in the season-long battle, Baker and Gregorich racked up a grand total of $785,623. Both Players Have Tremendous Poker Skill. It isn’t like Baker and Gregorich are fresh off the bus in Las Vegas. Both men are longtime professional poker players who have been phenomenally successful in that endeavor. Gregorich’s poker career dates to 1995, with his first cash coming at the California State Poker Championship in Omaha Hi/Lo Split. Four years later, Gregorich made his first score at the World Series of Poker in the $2500 Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo Eight or Better event. Although he lacks a major title on his poker resume, Gregorich has earned nearly $2 million in his tournament poker career and probably has been able to make a decent living off cash game play in his career. Baker’s resume is much more decorated. Called вЂODB’ to separate him from another successful poker professional with the same name (he is nicknamed вЂBakes’), Baker’s first tournament poker score was in Reno at a small tournament at Circus Circus in 1993. Strangely, he would disappear from the scene until 2004, when he reemerged on the tournament scene. In 2019, Baker was the winner of a WSOP bracelet in the $1500 Limit Hold’em event, his second at the most prestigious poker series in the world. That victory came after his win in the World Poker Tour’s L. A. Poker Classic Main Event, which scored him his largest tournament win ever of $1,015,000. In his tournament poker career, вЂBakes’ has earned almost $6 million in 191 tournament cashes. Do Poker and Sports Betting Share a Skill Set? There could very well be a skill set between sports betting and poker that is shared. For some to be successful at both, it takes a great deal of analysis and mental fortitude to come to certain decisions. It could also be said that, for a short-term situation, that there’s just luck involved. Over the course of an entire season in the National Football League – or in an entire year of intense poker tournament competition – it is more likely that skill takes hold rather than luck, however. Congratulations to both Baker and Gregorich on their success in these events. It might be worth taking a flyer on their wagers – both on the poker tables and on the sports boards – for the coming year! Frequently Searched Help Articles. Category. How To. PokerStars launches online poker in Michigan; FoxBet sports betting also approved. FoxBet and PokerStars are now live in Michigan. (Photo used with permission from FoxBet/PokerStars) Legal online poker is now live in Michigan. The Michigan Gaming Control Board announced Friday that it authorized Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians and platform providers PokerStars for online gaming and FoxBet for online sports betting to launch at 11 a.m. PokerStars is the first operator in Michigan to offer peer-to-peer poker games online, MGCB executive director Richard Kalm said. Michiganders are only permitted to play against others within state lines, although interstate play is expected to be approved later this year, according to the MGCB. Michigan is the fifth state to allow real money poker games. FoxBet is the 11th online sportsbook approved in Michigan after 10 launched Jan. 22. Meanwhile, there are now 10 authorized online casinos after the MGCB approved PokerStars and Barstool’s online casino Friday. Barstool’s sportsbook launched last Friday. FoxBet is offering a free $100 in site credit after making a first deposit (minimum $10). “The key differentiators for us have always been our valued partnership with the FOX Corporation and the strength of our industry leading FOX Bet Super 6 product combined with the PokerStars business, and we plan to lean into these unique assets as we launch in Michigan,” FOX Bet CEO Kip Levin said in a release. “Behind FOX Bet Sportsbook, PokerStars and Stars Casino, customers create one account for all three apps, unlocking a wide variety of exciting and entertaining options to supercharge the experience for our Michigan audience.” Online gaming and sports betting are expected to be an avenue for Michigan casinos to make up for substantial losses incurred in 2020 while also generating millions in tax revenue for the state. By most accounts, online gaming is off to a booming start. Michigan and Virginia both launched online gambling late last week and combined for 7.5 million online gambling transactions across 400,000 accounts, according to data from GeoComply, which provides geolocation tracking services for the internet gaming industry. Michigan and Virginia accounted for 25 percent of the overall volume last weekend across the U.S. market, which encompasses 17 states with legal online betting. “There were no real reports of any outages -- maybe some lag here and there -- but nothing overly out of the norm in that regard. And also you had a great weekend for an opening. You had the conference championship games and you had the added bonus of a high-profile UFC fight (Dustin Poirier vs. Conor McGregor). So all in all, with the exception of maybe starting on Super Bowl Friday or the first round of the NCAA Tournament, you’re not going to get a much better opening slot.” Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission. The wait for Michigan online sports betting, casino gaming and real-money poker is in its final days. The date and initial operator list for Michigan’s long-awaited online gaming launch will be announced by Jan. 18 at the latest, said Michigan Gaming Control Board Executive Director Richard Kalm at a meeting Tuesday. Assuming all approvals are met, Michigan residents and visitors will be able to deposit and wager with the first wave of online operators by the end of the month. “We’re very close. I wish I could give an exact day and time, but each day that changes,” Kalm said. “We’re gathering information daily. So we’re very close. That’s the best answer I can give right now.” After more than a year of waiting, Michigan’s online sports betting launch appears it will be ready to go before the Feb. 7 kickoff to this year’s Super Bowl, historically the single highest-grossing event for U.S. sportsbooks. Michigan Launch Comes into Focus. Though officials at Tuesday’s board meeting wouldn’t disclose publicly the go live date or initial approved operators, a timeline for online gaming in Michigan is coming into focus. After MGCB officials grant the go live date, which could come in the next few days, it will still be four or five additional days after that until the first operators can accept bets, Kalm said, during which time mobile operators must pass final testing and certification. Michigan’s 2019 sports betting law also requires at least one of the state’s commercial casinos and one of its Native American casinos earn their respective online wagering licenses before betting can begin. Kalm reaffirmed Tuesday the exact timeline remains in flux, but that should still allow the first bets to be placed before the end of January. In the meantime, Michigan bettors can begin downloading sportsbook and iGaming apps ahead of the launch. Michigan’s three commercial casinos along with a dozen tribal casinos have already formalized online sports betting and iGaming partnerships. Partner operators such as DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Barstool Sports, PointsBet and William Hill are among the dozen or so sportsbooks expected to go live on or near the official launch date. Retail sports betting began in March 2020, but multiple casino closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic have handicapped wagering options and fueled interest in the online launch, which is projected to make up as 90% or more of total betting handle. The 10th-largest state by population, Michigan is set to be one of the largest sports betting markets in the country. It will be the second most populated state with both online sports betting and iGaming, trailing only Pennsylvania. Long Rollout Nears Conclusion. Signed into law by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in December 2019, Michigan’s package of online sports betting, poker, iGaming and daily fantasy regulations underwent more than a year of review, rulemaking and certification. Michigan regulators were required by state law to craft rules, take public comment, submit a financial impact statement and receive final sign off from a state legislative body, a process that wasn’t completed until last month. Kalm said officials turned around the required gaming rules faster than any other set of regulations in his 13 years with the MGCB. Officials also expedited occupational, vendor and supplier licenses, a process Kalm said still took significant time as officials had to not only write and earn certification for their proposed rules, but then license three commercial and 12 tribal gaming operators as well as their affiliates and partners. https://www.ex-ttcommunity.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&p=2914793 https://forum.devnagri.com/posting.php?mode=reply&f=102&t=56&sid=37eb6766fec161776b3cc6afbdea0c2a%20 https://www.progettoarte.info/index.php?option=com_k2&view=itemlist&task=user&id=325663 https://www.progettoarte.info/index.php?option=com_k2&view=itemlist&task=user&id=325663 http://www.axe2.ro/forum/showthread.php?tid=81491 https://vivomix.com/members/unyovaft/ http://gornoprom.ru/marketplace/discussions/21589 https://suctrader.com/showthread.php?tid=1&pid=107757#pid107757 http://www.tdedchangair.com/webboard/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=440954 http://skorpions-welt.at/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1809506 https://share1s.net/posting.php?mode=reply&f=5&t=1058748 http://apisphera.ru/account/?user=23579 http://forum.lilithgame.com/viewtopic.php?t=329431&view=unread#unread http://mbrito.uosdesigndegrees.com/mybb/showthread.php?tid=346307 http://lindner-essen.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2157879 Ncaa college football consensus picks Bet shop fixtures codes and odds Cbs sports make picks Mlb picks and parlays today Draftkings dfs nba ligue 1 fixed matches Tips 180 1x2 Golf betting bias Rb waiver wire week 9 Vegas predictions nfl How to bet well College football week 3 betting lines Baseball draft order 2020 Leaguelane safe matches lyrics search Fixed bets kenya Nfl lines against the spread Nfl week 16 computer predictions College basketball predictions today covers fixed matches tips ht ft app fixed american league matches Mlb predictions dratings fixed matches 21 best fixed matches 100 sure tips Victor prediction for today games Custom mcfarlane sports picks College basketball game odds Ice hockey prediction website Leaguelane fixed soccer player today Live betting 777 College football picks predictions correct score fixed matches gratuit Best promotions betting Neds racing tips where to buy fixed matches in nigeria College pick em week 4 Statarea football prediction for today Nfl survivor pool odds Football inplay tips Fun football bets with friends C sportsbook Windrawwin football prediction by league Nj sports betting website Best college basketball picks fixed matches website Mister fixit football tips sports betting news sports gambling law - FabioIneks - 02-08-2021 п»їSupreme Court allows sports betting across the country. WASHINGTON — The U.S. Supreme Court acted Monday to bust Nevada's monopoly on legal sports betting, allowing more states to get in on the action and reap the tax benefits. The court, in a 6-3 ruling, struck down a federal law that required states to ban gambling on the outcome of sporting events. The Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act was highly unusual: It did not ban sports gambling nationwide as a matter of federal law, but it said the states were not allowed to permit it. (Nevada was grandfathered in when the law was passed in 1992.) Dozens of states across the country are prepared to move forward quickly to offer sports betting in the wake of the court's decision. Supreme Court backs New Jersey's bid to legalize sports betting. New Jersey and then-Gov. Chris Christie challenged the federal ban, arguing that it violated the Tenth Amendment, which the Supreme Court has said prohibits federal laws that compel states to carry out federal dictates. The gambling law, Christie said, commandeered the states by forcing them to prohibit sports wagering. A great day for the rights of states and their people to make their own decisions. New Jersey citizens wanted sports gambling and the federal Gov't had no right to tell them no. The Supreme Court agrees with us today. I am proud to have fought for the rights of the people of NJ. — Governor Christie (@GovChristie) May 14, 2018. New Jersey's current governor, Phil Murphy, said he was "thrilled" by the ruling and would work with state lawmakers to enact a law authorizing sports betting "in the very near future." "Today's ruling will finally allow for authorized facilities in New Jersey to take the same bets that are legal in other states in our country," Murphy said. Writing for the majority, Justice Samuel Alito said the problem with the federal law is that "state legislatures are put under the direct control of Congress." "A more direct affront to state sovereignty is not easy to imagine," he wrote. Related. politics Cash-hungry states betting Supreme Court will legalize sports gambling. New Jersey wants to allow limited forms of sports gambling and to collect the taxes from it. While supporters of the federal law said it discouraged betting and the resulting corrupting influence of organized crime on athletics, Christie said Americans already spend nearly $150 billion a year on illegal sports wagering. "I know that we don't know much about organized crime coming from New Jersey. But we know a little bit. And the fact is that organized crime is involved in profiting from this every day," he said. The American Gaming Association estimated that Americans would wager $10 billion on this year's NCAA men's basketball tournament alone, with just 3 percent of the bets placed legally through Nevada. "Today's decision is a victory for the millions of Americans who seek to bet on sports in a safe and regulated manner," the association said in a statement Monday. "Today's ruling makes it possible for states and sovereign tribal nations to give Americans what they want: An open, transparent and responsible market for sports betting." The NCAA and the major professional sports leagues contended that the law was not unconstitutional, because it didn't compel states to do anything; it simply prevented them from making sports betting legal by either operating sports-gambling schemes themselves or authorizing casinos to do so. New Jersey officials said they would allow only certain types of sports betting, at casinos and racetracks, with a minimum age of 21 to participate. When the case was argued in January, Christie said the state was prepared to act within two weeks of a Supreme Court ruling in its favor. As Sports Gambling Grows, So Do Appetite-Whetting Sure Bets. Online gambling sites are offering can’t-lose propositions, giving away easy money to attract new customers to a nascent multibillion-dollar industry. These come-ons should reach a peak just ahead of the Super Bowl. Published Feb. 2, 2021 Updated Feb. 3, 2021. You’ve heard it all your life: There is no such thing as a sure thing. Well, that was before betting on sports could be legal anywhere in the United States. Now it’s a free-for-all of easy money as sports books in search of new customers hype their services on sports broadcasts, social media and drive-time air waves. Last week in Michigan, where online betting recently became legal, the gaming company FanDuel was happy to give new customers their beloved Detroit Pistons and an eye-popping plus 159.5 points against the Los Angeles Lakers. Bettors didn’t need the can’t-lose points — Detroit won, 107-92, costing the sports book $2 million in payouts. For FanDuel, it was money well spent. For about $45 a head, the site signed up nearly 47,000 new Michigan bettors. In the gambling industry, can’t-miss propositions and cash handouts are time-tested ways to build market share quickly. These come-ons will peak just ahead of this weekend’s Super Bowl, the holiest of occasions in the religion of sports and the most-watched television show in the United States. With DraftKings’ “Big Game No Brainer,” a new user will be able to turn $50 into $100 if either Tampa Bay or Kansas City scores a single touchdown in Sunday’s game. “Win Terry Bradshaw’s Money,” brought to you by FOX Bet, has already become a staple of N.F.L. programming on the network. Bookmakers have said the sports betting market is maturing faster than they anticipated, with an unfortunate and unlikely assist from the economic devastation left by the coronavirus pandemic. “The tipping point is here. What we went through last year is the driver,” said Kip Levin, the chief executive officer of FOX Bet. Even with the disruption in sports, Levin said, 14 betting states collectively took in more than $1 billion in revenue in 2020, demonstrating that sports gambling can bolster economies in new markets. “State officials recognize this and now they need revenues for their state,” he said. Less than three years after the Supreme Court struck down a federal law that prohibited sports gambling in most states, betting on games is legal and underway in 20 states and the District of Columbia. The more than $1 billion in 2020 revenue is projected to grow sixfold by 2023, according to a study by Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, a research and consulting firm. If all 50 states permit sports betting, revenues will surpass $19 billion annually, the study projects. Multibillion-dollar industries will beget multibillion-dollar marketing as bookmakers, media companies and tech entrepreneurs have rushed in to claim their place in the market. “Sports betting now is like water and finding its way into everything, especially now when operators are trying to attract new customers,” said Chris Grove, a partner at Eilers & Krejcik. “In a mature market like the United Kingdom, a mid-tier bookmaker will spend about 40 cents of every dollar acquiring and retaining new customers. Here we’re seeing a 100 percent or more spend on each buck.” Last year, bookmakers spent more than $200 million on television advertising alone, according to the advertising information company MediaRadar, and since mid-June of 2020 they have increased their television spending by 82 percent over the previous year. Sports gaming executives have said they expect to double that amount on advertising and promotions by year’s end, as betting operations move closer to opening in five more states — Washington, North Carolina, Louisiana, Maryland, and South Dakota. Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo of New York, who is banking on the State Legislature to approve mobile sports betting this spring, has said it could bring hundreds of millions of dollars into state coffers as New York is facing a multi-billion-dollar deficit. Despite his enthusiasm, Cuomo said he wanted the state to have tight control over the betting platforms, likening sports gambling to the state-run lottery. “This is not a moneymaker for private interests to collect just more tax revenue,” he said. “We want the actual revenue from sports betting.” No matter what deals are reached in New York, betting on sports has already demonstrated a grip on American culture and a capacity to assault our senses. Sports gaming executives acknowledge there is a fine line between seducing new customers and exhausting them. Officials at DraftKings and FanDuel said they had learned from mistakes they made trying to bring daily fantasy sports to the market. In 2015, the two sports books blanketed television with advertising, spending more than $100 million each, consistently ranking among the top companies each week in airtime purchased. During the N.F.L.’s opening weekend alone, DraftKings and FanDuel spent more than $27 million for about 8,000 television spots, according to data from iSpot.tv, which measures national TV advertising. The aggressive marketing helped lift each company’s valuation to $1 billion, but it also brought scrutiny from state attorneys general who were not convinced the fantasy games were legal. With expensive legal challenges and a backlash among customers, both businesses were badly damaged. “We spent a lot of money. It was not the wisest thing to do,” said John Avello, the director of the sports book at DraftKings. “It did make us well known. Now we do it smarter.” Mike Raffensperger, chief marketing officer at FanDuel, said sports books were merely following in the footsteps of Netflix, Uber and other digital companies that pioneered new markets. This time around, FanDuel wants to become part of the sports media landscape by exploiting social media and making exclusive content partnership deals with networks like TNT and Entercom Radio, one of the country’s largest owners of sports talk radio stations. With sports betting measures under consideration in heavily populated states such as California, Texas and Florida, sure-thing bets are certain to be dangled before new customers for years to come. Sports betting and its place in American culture are here to stay. “What the public thinks is going to happen in a game, which team is going to cover the spread, has become part of the larger narrative of sports,” Raffensperger said. “Betting on games has become part of the sports ecosystem.” https://rucyprus.net/showthread.php?tid=66232 http://worldwidefamilies.org/forum/showthread.php?tid=175557 https://chyoa.com/user/Unyacousty https://adminclub.org/Thread-compare-free-nfl-football-picks http://worldwidefamilies.org/forum/showthread.php?tid=175282 https://adminclub.org/Thread-Accurate-Soccer-Predictions http://moroccansoverseas.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=376352 http://www.axe2.ro/forum/showthread.php?tid=81318 http://www.medicalgaze.com/user/unyigninny http://prayformypet.com/board/showthread.php?tid=407415 http://nadiawashere.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=109293 http://gornoprom.ru/marketplace/discussions/21558 http://mustafaakyuz.com.tr/forum/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=2 http://adosn.org/index.php/forum/suggestion-box/727-correct-score-from-william-hill#51486 http://lindner-essen.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2160716 http://resonantmind.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=147722&p=320034#p320034 https://clearmem.com/forums/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=40884 https://www.cointalk.com/threads/replying-to-the-questions-about-pictures.373590/#post-6287336 https://cornlan.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1468215 portugal fixed matches Tvg expert picks Nfl draft pick salaries Direct win predictions Best of the best soccer predictions Sporting index review Dream 11 prediction today football match Fanduel nfl picks today Expert picks nba odds shark Cbs pro picks Barcelona match fixing Nfl week 6 news Nfl wk 5 picks Nba preseason dfs picks Nba fixed matches College football week 12 picks against the spread Sure btts tips Sigma1x2 today Aaf fanduel How to odds work in betting Atletico sure fixed tips Correct score everyday Surefixed win Top sports gambling apps 365 prediction fixed matches Bleacher report nfl playoffs 100 sure football predictions for tomorrow Rotogrinders nfl projections Afl predictions Bet on nascar race Horse racing systems that actually work All about football tips Today sure gg games Nba fantasy draft top picks Football prediction sites for today games Week 7 nfl betting picks Football odds prediction analysis Covers ncaaf consensus Week 10 survivor pool picks Sec basketball preseason poll Sure half time draw tips Betting tricks Bettingclosed correct scores for today Sportpesa tips africa 1st overall pick nba 2020 Nfl games and point spreads Max betting site Week 12 college football odds What to bet on football Prop bets online |
